Porec launches info point on solar energy

The city’s “Sunny Office” has been launched on February 3rd. It will assist citizens willing to learn more about solar energy.

Sunny Office will be a place where citizens interested in deploying solar energy installations will receive support free of charge.

Through the European Climate Pact and the European Green Deal, the European Union has set the ultimate goal of making Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050, while recognizing the enormous potential that lies in empowering citizens as active participants in the energy market.

“By opening the Sunny Office, the Town of Porec-Parenzo has provided all its citizens with a place where they can receive an answer to questions such as: What is a solar (photovoltaic) power plant and how does it work? What documents and steps are needed for the installation of a solar (photovoltaic) power plant and where to start? What prerequisites must be met for someone to be able to install their own solar (photovoltaic) power plant? How to determine the required power of the power plant? Which national bodies and institutions publish tenders for co-financing solar (photovoltaic) power plants?” said  Mrs. Gordana Lalić, director of the Town Company “Parentium d.o.o.”, which has the role of coordinator in the implementation of this project.

The office will also host workshops and trainings thanks to the city’s collaboration with the croatian cooperative ZEZ.
